Chinese factory Yanfeng Automotive Interiors opens in Kragujevac – Components for Mercedes to be produced in Sumadija

The factory Yanfeng Automotive Interiors has been opened in Kragujevac. The new production space of the Chinese company takes up 18,500 m2. Initially, 200 jobs will be created, but as the facility is designed for 800 employees, the number of workers will gradually increase year after year.

The ceremony was attended by the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, the ambassador of China, Chen Bo, the mayor of Kragujevac, Radomir Nikolic, factory representatives and a representative of the employees, Anka Duricic.

Vucic emphasized the importance of creating new jobs.

– A lot of work remains to be done in Kragujevac. We have put a lot of money in this city. We are looking at the construction of a high-speed route that will connect Kragujevac with other parts of Serbia. At the same time, Kragujevac will be the center of Serbia, it will be close to Corridors 10 and 11 – the Serbian president emphasized.

The Chinese company Yanfeng Automotive Interiors is world leader in the production of interior car components. It is one of the main suppliers of Mercedes.

The company is headquartered in Shanghai and has around 110 production facilities and technical centers in 20 countries and more than 32,000 employees worldwide, who design, develop and produce interior components for all car manufacturers.
