Spanish trams in Belgrade - companies CAF and City Transportation Company "Beograd" to sign contract on November 3rd

Contract for procurement of 30 new trams for City Transportation Company "Beograd" will be signed tomorrow (November 3, 2009) in Belgrade by the CEO of the Investment Agency, Marko Blagojević, and Jesus Esnaola and Felipe Rodrigo from Spanish company CAF.

- The project for refurbishment of the city of Belgrade is financed from the city budget and the loan of the European Investment Bank, and it includes reconstruction of tram rails, tram contact network, bridge structures, pavements, lanes and public utility infrastructure by sections, purchase of trams and realization of the traffic management system - it is stated in the announcement by the City of Belgrade's Information Service.

The contract will be signed in the presence of the Ambassador of Spain to Belgrade, Iñigo de Palacio España, the City Manager of Belgrade, Aleksandar Bijelić, the Assistant to the Mayor of Belgrade, Živorad Anđelković, the CEO of City Transportation Company "Beograd", Radoslav Nikolić, the Assistant to the CEO of the Investment Agency, Radovan Drča, the CEO of the Directorate for Public Transportation, Snežana Perović, and the representatives of company CAF.
