CEO and co-owner of hotel "The Queen of Montenegro" in Bečići, Dragan Ivančević, confirmed that Russian "Korston Group" intended to close that hotel during the winter and lay off large number of employees.

Ivančević told Podgorica-based radio station "Antena M" that that information "was waiting" for him on his return from the vacation, and he reminded that the Russian company was bound by the July 2009 takeover contract to keep that elite hotel open over the whole year.

"Korston Group" took over the management of the Bečići-based hotel after Russian authorities made the decision to allow gambling in only several areas in Russia.

Russians claimed in July that they had already signed some arrangements with the groups of tourists interested in casino tourism, that the hotel would be open during the whole year, that they would be paying salaries to the employees on regular basis, that they would employ new people, as well as that they would have the hotel capacities refurbished.
