"Humane billboards" of Vojvodina's Red Cross in Vršac

The Red Cross Organization of Vojvodina ceremoniously opened one of three "humane billboards" yesterday (October 29, 2009) in Vršac, of which aim is collecting of funds for resting and recovery of medically and socially endangered kids whose number is growing.
British-Serbian humanitarian fund from London has financed this project, unique in the Balkans, while the municipality of Vršac has provided the land for free, as well as all licenses for placing of billboards, including the connection to city lighting system. The project has also been backed by the Provincial Health Care Secretariat.
- These billboards will help us form a special fund to collect the funds for financing the resting of ill kids in the Red Cross' hostel on Vršac's hill. The equipping of this hostel is financed by Austrian Red Cross. The target group of the programme will be socially endangered kids between 6 and 14 from all municipalities in Vojvodina - said Professor Dr. Boriša Vučković, the CEO of Vojvodina's Red Cross.
The advertising space will be rented, on behalf of the Red Cross of Vojvodina, by the selected marketing agency.
