Mega boat with pool for surf and golf course - world's largest cruise ship launched in Finland


The world's largest transatlantic cruise ship "Sea Oasis" has been launched in Finland. Ship-city, which belongs to US company "Royal Caribbean", offers the passengers the unseen attractions such as the pool with waves for surfing, golf course and skating rink, while those who prefer resting will enjoy sand beach and the park of the size of football pitch called Central park.
The ship's capacity is 220,000 tons, it has 16 decks, 2,706 rooms, and enough room for 6,360 passengers and 2,000 crew members. Floating oasis, 360 meters long, cost 900m EUR. The ship built by shipyard STX has been launched in the southwest of Finland, and it is heading towards the west coast of the USA where the first passengers for the Hawaii cruise will embark on December 5th.
Hundreds of workers were finishing laying of the carpet and cleaning of the ship's decks yesterday (October 28, 2009) about 165 km northwest of Helsinki.
