- New Law on Air Traffic and national air traffic safety programme should be adopted by the end of year 2009 - said Miodrag Miljković, the State Secretary within the Ministry of Infrastructure of Serbia.
He said at the opening of the first East European Air Traffic Conference on Maintenance and Design of Airplanes in Belgrade that Serbia's aviation should be raised to a higher level, and that technical maintenance of airplanes should be improved.
Miljković
said that that conference was the opportunity for company "Jat tehnika"
to make business contacts and advertise as the regional leader.
- The conference is one in the series of events that are organized to improve technical culture and technical maintenance of airplanes - he pointed out.
The Director General of "Jat tehnika", Srđan Mišković, said that that company, owned by the state, was to find the strategic partner, and that the two-day conference, which gathered 30 foreign companies, was "an ideal opportunity for that".
The conference, which will be attended by the representatives of airplane production companies "Boeing" and "Airbus", air transportation companies and airplane maintenance companies, has been organized by "Jat tehnika" and British aviation consulting agency "Avisa".
The model of airplane "embera M158" is placed in front of hotel "Zira" where the conference is being held, and it will be on display until tomorrow when the East European Air Traffic Conference will be ended.
