Increase in value of units of Societe General Bank's pension funds

- In less than one year of work, the values of investment units of funds "Štednja" and "Ekvilibrio", which are run by company Societe Generale Pensions, have been increased by more 13% and by 14%, respectively - the company announced on October 23, 2009.

SG's Fund "Štednja", intended for conservative investors, does not invest in stocks, but in the state securities, while "Ekvilibrio" is focused on investors who are willing to take bigger risk, as well as to gain larger returns.

- SG Pensions managed not only to preserve the value of the property at the time of the crisis, but also to register growth - the CEO of the company, Ivan Jovanović, pointed out at the press conference and reminded that SG Pensions was the only company in Serbian market to run two funds.

Jovanović also said that "although they are the youngest in the market", the value of the investment units of SG's pension funds was "completely comparable to the values of the units that are present in the market for a much longer time".

There are ten pension funds in Serbian market, and they are run by nine companies.

When it comes to Societe Generale Bank Serbia, a member of the bank's Executive Board, Miroslav Rebić, pointed out that SG placed emphasis on the security of deposit, and not on the interest rate, as well as that the bank conducts the policy of modest interest rates on both loans and saving deposits.
