United registry of local and foreign organizations in BRA

The united registry of local and foreign organizations has been in use in the Business Registry Agency (BRA) since yesterday (October 22, 2009).

- Reregistration process, which was also commenced yesterday, is for free and lasts for 18 months for local organizations and for 3 months for foreign ones. The fee for registration of new organizations will be cheaper by 30% or more - Zvonko Obradović, the CEO of BRA, announced yesterday at the press conference.

- We now have the information that there are 47,000 local and foreign organizations in Serbia, and the final number will be known as soon as the electronic registration is finished. BRA will be submitting the decisions about registration to the applicants within 30 days - said Obradović.

According to Milan Marković, the Minister of Administration and Local Self-Government, BRA is chosen to run the united registry of organizations because it already has required technological knowledge, up-to-date software and trained staff.
