Construction of Italian industrial zone in Inđija

Construction of Italian industrial zone in Inđiji, one of already contracted projects that drew great attention of Italian businessmen who took part in manifestation "Italy in Belgrade 2005". The representative of consortium "Zona industriale Italiana", Nebojša Kaljević, pointed out that 15 Italian production companies were ready to invest in that zone. The big advantage of the zone is good geographic position of Inđije, the lowest profit tax in Europe, as well as free zone of trade between Serbia and seven countries in the region and Russia. Italian industrial zone occupies 98 ha and the investors are offered lots of 2,000 – 200,000 square meters, which are equipped with all infrastructural facilities and internet network of the latest technology. According to the words of Kaljević, 70% of land will be intended for commercial industry, which implies market chains, banks and restaurants, whereas 30% will be intended for units of light industry. The aim is forming of the biggest and the most modern distributive center in East Europe for sale of complete production of Italian industrial zone. Besides the investors from Italy, the representatives of consortium will try to attract businessmen from the other countries of EU, as well as local investors. The value of total investment is €500m. The completion of the project is expected in 2014.
