Austrian "Kika" to open department store in Belgrade on November 26th - investment worth about 30m EUR

Austrian furniture market chain "Kika" is going to open 30m EUR worth of department store in Belgrade on November 26th.
The Director General of company "Kika international", Paul Koch, said today (October 21, 2009) to the press that 200 people would be employed in that store.
- Company "Kika" has invested in Serbia because of good infrastructure and favorable geographic position with the aim of strengthening the company's position in central European market - said Koch.
The Assistant to the Minister of Trade and Services, Ljiljana Stanković, said that the cooperation with international companies was the safest method for development of export activities of local companies.
"Kika" is a family company that started cooperation with furniture chain "Leiner" in 1910, and it owns 67 retail centers in Austria, central and east Europe.
