Government founded company "Emisiona tehnika i veze"

- By the decision of the Government of Serbia, public company for broadcasting infrastructure management on the territory of Serbia - "Emisiona tehnika i veze" (Broadcasting Technology and Links), has been founded - it is announced in the latest Official Bulletin.
The company was formed after 'Broadcasting Technology' was separated from the Broadcasting Institution of Serbia, and its operations will be run by the Administrative Board, CEO and the Supervisory Board. Their mandates last for five years, and the Government of Serbia, as the founder, will be appointing and dismissing them. According to the decision, CEO, President, and the members of the Administrative Board will be appointed by the Government prior to December 20th, 2009.
The means that have been used for formation of the new public company include buildings, antenna systems, radio-relay systems, ownership rights and other means of broadcasting infrastructure. Total value of the business means that have been taken over from the Broadcasting Institution of Serbia is estimated at 13.8m EUR, that is, at over 1.2 billion RSD according to the middle exchange rate of the National Bank of Serbia on January 1st, 2009.
Following the completion of construction and issuing of the permit for use, the new company will be transferred the right to use the Avala Tower in Belgrade without any fee. The company will take over the employees in the Broadcasting Institution of Serbia who manage, organize, maintain and develop broadcasting technologies and links.
