Hans-Arild Bredesen, Managing director, Nord Pool Consulting AS, Oslo

Hans-Arild Bredesen has been involved in the electricity deregulation process since 1992. He has been involved as technical project manager developing the market systems at Nord Pool as well as participating in the development of different participant systems in the Nordic market.

In his work in the international arena, Hans-Arild has investigated international markets and had key roles in the development of strategies for Trading, Scheduling, and Settlement systems for power exchanges and system operators in California, India, Romania, Turkey, Southern Africa, France, South-east Europe among others.

Hans-Arild has as part of his employment at Nord Pool Consulting held the position as Senior Vice President from his start in 2005 until March 1st 2008 where he took the position as Managing Director for Nord Pool Consulting.
