The Administrative Board of the Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS) chose company "Pricewaterhouse Coopers" on October 16th to be the new auditor for annual report of NIS for year 2009.

At the meeting that was held in the main business center of company "Gazpromneft" in Sankt Peterburg, the Administrative Board approved of the plan for transformation of stock company NIS into an open joint-stock company, which will enable distribution of free stocks of NIS among the citizens of Serbia.

Members of the Administrative Board of NIS declared company "D`Appolonia S.P.A." from Italy the winner of the open competition for complex ecological testing of production facilities of NIS.

According to the announcement, such tests are in accordance with the obligations of company "Gazpromneft" from the sales contract for purchase of 51% of stocks of NIS.

It is expected that the ecological analyses will give not only the objective estimate of influence of NIS' production activities on the environment, but also the estimate of ecological-economic risks and recommendations for improvement of ecological situation.
