New building of Lukoil in Belgrade

With the today’s formal opening of new business building in Mihaila Pupina Boulevard, Lukoil, Russian Oil Company, the second biggest private company in the world in stocks of crude oil and gas, takes significant step towards greater presence on market of SCG.

Two years ago, Lukoil bought Beopetrol for €117m. According to the contract, Lukoil was obliged to invest €85m in that company within first three year and additional €8m in social programs. At the beginning of this year, president of this company, Vagit Alekperov, stayed in Belgrade and, during the talks with the representatives of Government of Serbia and management of NIS, he confirmed the great interest in strategic partnership with Serbian Petroleum Industry. On that occasion, he also promised that all obligations from the contract would be fulfilled.
