Government of Japan makes valuable donation to Health Center in Priboj

Thanks to a donation from the Government of Japan and the Municipality of Priboj, the Health Center of Priboj has been provided with an ambulance. The vehicle is worth EUR 45,000 without VAT.

This is the first and the only such vehicle within the rolling stock of the Health Center of Priboj. Thanks to this donation, health services provided by the local Emergency Service will become more accessible, especially in winter conditions and otherwise inaccessible areas. The vehicle features modern medical equipment.

The donation has also provided the Priboj General Hospital with equipment for an endovideo-gastroscope and a colonoscope, worth EUR 48,000 without VAT. This new diagnostics and therapy method has not been available in the hospital so far. After the employees are properly trained, it will be put into operation.

Thanks to the introduction of this method, patients will be able to get treatment in their home town, without having to go to other regional centers. It will also upgrade prevention, diagnostics and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases, reducing the morbidity and lethality rate when it comes to these diseases.
