Total of 36 local and 7 companies from Republic of Srpska interested in cooperation with "Fiat"

Total of 36 local and seven companies from Republic of Srpska have expressed interest in cooperation with new Fiat's company in Kragujevac. The representatives of these companies had the first business contacts with the management of company "Fiat automobili Srbija" yesterday in "Zastava". The Adviser in the Ministry of Economy, Aleksandar Ljubić, said on that occasion that the names of the first collaborators of "Fiat" from Serbia would be announced within the next few weeks.

As "Danas" learned from company "Fiat automobili Srbija", the first suppliers will be "Trayal" from Kruševac, "Poliester" from Priboj, and company "Promotor" from Kragujevac. Ljubić pointed out that the companies that met the conditions set by "Fiat" would also be producing parts for the factories of the Italian company in other countries.

The meeting with the representatives of companies from Republic of Srpska was also organized yesterday (October 13, 2009) in "Zastava". They presented their product portfolios and business potentials to the management of "Fiat". The managers of "Fiat" introduced the companies from RS to the technical terms, standards and requests they must satisfy in order to become Fiat's collaborators. During the talks, the representatives of Fiat asked for additional contacts with the representatives of five out of seven present companies, among which were Oil Refinery from Modriča, "Kovnica" from Bileća, "Network" from Derventa...

The Assistant to the Minister of Economic Relations in the Government of RS, Aida Bogdan, said yesterday in "Zastava" that that entity had sent the first group of companies that wanted to become Fiat's collaborators to Kragujevac. The owner and CEO of "Kovnica", Branko Vučković, is of the opinion that his company meets conditions and that it will be become Fiat's supplier in the near future. As he explained, "Kovnica" already delivers the whole production of forged parts for installation in vehicles to foreign buyers. People in Oil Refinery Modriča also expect to become one of Fiat's collaborators.
