– Each of the Western Balkans countries is too small to attract global investors, without which there is no constant economic growth. However, together, we can be more competitive, both in relation to the EU and to other world markets – Mihajlovic said and urged the countries of the Western Balkans to create a strategy of joint economic development.
She said that all internal customs and border barriers to the transport of goods and services between Serbia, Albania and North Macedonia should be abolished.
– The Transport Community, whose seat recently opened in Belgrade, could support us in this – the press release says.
She adds that it would also be good for the Western Balkans countries to harmonize their infrastructural policies.
– Perhaps the first step towards that could be to form a regional network of electric vehicle chargers – Mihajlovic said and also proposed a unified system of toll collection on the highways within the region.
