Public Counsellor of the municipality of Grocka, Vukosava Janković, has put an end to the five-year dispute about so-called "Golden bank", that is, an embankment that was built by "Vodoprivreda" 23 years ago in the location of former swamp, as well as the plateau at about 8 ha alongside the Danube.
The contract with the Cypriot company owned by "controversial businessman" Đorđe Farkaš, according to which the municipality rented aforementioned area on period of 99 years, with the grace period of 20 years, has been canceled.
Farkaš has even registered this part of the bank and obtained the ownership certificate, while this new legally-binding decision orders the cadastre to return the land to Grocka.
