Tender announced for construction of new steam power plant-heating plant in Novi Sad

Company "Energija Novi Sad" announced the tender today (October 8, 2009) for construction of new gas-powered steam power plant/heating plant in Novi Sad, in which about 250m EUR should be invested.
Company "Energija", founded by the Electric Power Company of Serbia (EPS) and the City of Novi Sad, announced that the deadline for submission of letters of intent was December 1st, 2009.
According to the plan, once completed, that plant should enable heating of over 80,000 households and business users in Novi Sad.
Company "Energija" will provide land with complete existing infrastructure and machinery, while the strategic partner, which will be selected on the tender, will acquire majority ownership in the Novi Sad-based company through additional capitalization, that is, by investing in the new power plant.
The condition for participation in the tender is that bidder has necessary financial and operational capacities, as well as an experience in erecting and managing similar units.
