Two building consortiums are still competing for construction of six mini hydroelectric power plants (MHE) on the Bosna river in RS, of which investor is Norwegian "Technor Energy".

Miodrag Milićević, a representative of the Norwegian investor, said on October 6, 2009, after the bids submitted on the tender were opened in the company's Belgrade-based office, that the valid documentation had been submitted only by the consortium comprising Austrian "Strabag" and Croatian "Ingra" and the consortium led by Split-based "Konstruktor".

As Milićević explained, the other two submitted bids, which were presented by Austrian companies "Alpine" and "Porr", were not even opened since they were rejected as incomplete because the tender guarantees had not been provided.

Final proposal for the chief contractor is expected in one month.

Norwegians plan to have six MHE of 74 MW built on the Bosna river, on the territory between Doboj and Modriča. Future contractor will have to do all the engineering and construction works, to purchase and install all the equipment, and to put the power plants in operation.

Construction of two MHE, "Cijevna 1" and "Cijevna 2", should commence at the beginning of 2010. Prior to that, the Advocacy of RS and the Republic Administration for Geodesic and Ownership-Legal Affairs should finish the land expropriation.
