They will become workers at Gruner, one of the largest German manufacturers of relays for the automotive industry.
For those who are not yet 18, the job contracts were signed by their parents. Their work week will be 30 hours.
Gruner, which employs 570 workers, arrived to Vlasotince 12 years ago, and the employment of these students is the culmination of the successful three-year cooperation with the Technical School.
Vladimir Andjelkovic, a junior year high school student, says that, when they were sophomore, they were paid RSD 6,000, and that they are now paid RSD 10,000, and Stefan Petrovic adds that the school is great, as they are able to get a job as soon as they graduate.
– There are seven education programs under this dual education model, primarily in Serbia, as we fully follow the needs of the economy of Vlasotince – said Milivoje Djokic, the director of the Technical School.
The first generation of industrial mechanics will start working by the end of the month. These days, four more cooperative companies in Vlasotince and Leskovac will offer job contracts as well.
