The CEO of Priboj-based company "Poliester", Bajram Nuković, said that the automotive equipment produced in that company was being tested by the experts from "Fiat".
Nuković said to the press that those automobile parts were tested by the experts because they might be built-in in "punto" model, as well as in the new model whose production in Kragujevac-based "Zastava" was about to start.
The parts that are being tested represent the equipment for both interior and exterior of the vehicle, and they were made in association with a "Fiat's" collaborator in Serbia.
Nuković said that people in "Poliester" had long-time experience in producing side lights, not only for passenger vehicles, but also for trucks and building machines.
- If we obtain the certificate from "Fiat", we will be ready for regular production - said he.
Factory "Poliester" is also famous for production of tubing for city water supply systems, as well as pipelines for mini hydroelectric power plants and irrigation systems.
The factory has recently asked the Government of Serbia for help because local building companies often buy imported tubing.
Chemical industry "Poliester" is one of rare highlights in the economy sector of the municipality of Priboj. It currently has 300 employees.
