Investment of EUR 2 million for new Industrial Zone in Sombor – Construction of new sports hall in 2020

The Provincial Government and the City of Sombor have invested more than EUR 2 million in the construction and the infrastructural equipping of the Industrial Zone in this city and there are already interested local and foreign investors, said the president of the Provincial Government, Igor Mirovic, during his working visit to Sombor.

The construction of this Industrial Zone will lead to the creation of new jobs and the strengthening of the local budget, Mirovic added, as announced on the website of the Government of Vojvodina.

– Through the Office for Capital Investments of Vojvodina, the Provincial Government has secured funds for the realization of projects in the City of Sombor in the fields of transportation infrastructure, water supply and water protection and local and regional economic development – Mirovic pointed out.

– We are preparing projects together for the next year as well, one of which will be the construction of a new sports hall and the reconstruction of the Technical School, which is still located in the building raised in 1887 – he pointed out.
