The Provincial Secretariat of Regional and International Cooperation announced today (October 1st, 2009) that it planned to set aside 50m RSD for the projects in Vojvodina within the scope of the programme for cross-border cooperation between Serbia and Hungary.

The Deputy Provincial Secretary of Regional and International Cooperation, Vladimir Pandurov, said that the Secretariat would try to help realization of three projects.

Pandurov specified that, in order for the money from the cross-border cooperation programme to be granted, which is financed from the funds of EU’s Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA), 15% of the funds for the project must be provided.

According to his words, the institutions that are interested in the programme should submit draft projects to the Secretariat, which will then select the projects that will be granted financial aid.

The Deputy Provincial Secretariat of Regional and International Cooperation announced that the Secretariat would organize Info Day for all those interested in the cross-border cooperation programme on October 28th.

The deadline for submission of draft projects for IPA’s cross-border cooperation programme is December 31st, 2009, and about 16.6m EUR were set aside for that project.

The invitation has been announced by the National Agency for Development of Hungary and the Ministry of Finance of Serbia, while draft projects can be submitted by non-profitable organizations, foundations, various organizations, educational institutions, and chambers.

The money will be granted to the projects for strengthening economic and social links, environment protection, education, research and development. All additional information can be found on website www.hu-srb-ipa.com.
