Technology Park in Vršac represents an exceptional location for Italian companies. Thanks to its geographic position and free trade agreement with the countries of former Soviet Union, Serbia is suitable for investments of Italian entrepreneurs who enjoy the full support of our Government.
This is how Adolfo Urso, the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and International Trade Exchange of Italy, commented on the works on construction of the Technology Park in Vršac. The entrepreneurs from Italy are familiar with the information on this park, which is situated alongside Belgrade - Vršac – Romania road and the railway that connects our capital city with the cities in Romania and goes further to the east. Future factories in this park will employ about 1,000 workers.
The guests from Italy have expressed interest in further investments in production capacities in future Technology Park, as well as in modernization of traffic infrastructure. Italian capital is very interested in construction of Belgrade - Vršac – national border highway, which will connect Corridor 10 with Corridor 4. Participation of the Government of Serbia and Vršac in this high-priority traffic project is expressed through construction of the bypass around the city.
Also, Serbian and Italian entrepreneurs are interested in electrification of the rail to Romania where about 20,000 companies with Italian founding capital are operating. In constant search for higher profits, these companies express growing interest in projects in Serbia, that is, the region of Vršac.
