Unique new model of "Fiat" automobile in Kragujevac in November - investment worth 800m EUR

Minister of Economy of Serbia, Mlađan Dinkić, announced today (September 24, 2009) that the production of new model of "Fiat" automobile in Kragujevac-based "Zastava" would start in five to six weeks, and that the value of that investment amounted to 800m EUR.

He said at the conference on investment opportunities in Serbia, which is attended by the delegation of over 100 Italian entrepreneurs, that that automobile would be produced only in the factory in Kragujevac, which is the joint investment of the Government of Serbia and "Fiat".

Dinkić announced that he and President Boris Tadić would visit "Fiat" factory in Torino in November and see that new model of automobile.

Minister of Economy of Serbia, Mlađan Dinkić, also said that the meeting of the representatives of Italian and Serbian governments would be organized on November 13th in Italy, and that it would represent further step towards improvement of economic relations between the two countries.

Italy is the third largest foreign-trade partner of Serbia, and it is the fifth in amount of investments, of which value exceeds 1 billion EUR.
