First hotel at Bucharest airport opens

The first hotel that is mostly aimed at businessmen has opened as a part of the Henri Coanda International Airport near Bucharest.

Hilton Garden Hotel has 218 rooms, and it will also accommodate airport staff and passengers whose flights have been canceled. The hotel also includes five conference halls, each covering the area of 225 m2, Agerpress reports.

The owner of the 19 million euro hotel is Apex Alliance Hotel Management , a Lithuanian company that has, together with Romanian Optim Project Management company, opened multiple hotels in Romania.

The hotel is located 150 m away from the airport and the management estimates that the guests will spent a night there on average. The promotional price for one-night stay is EUR 69 per room. The hotel also includes a restaurant and offers room service as well.
