"Rudnap Group" signed 3.4m EUR worth of contract with "Elektro Slovenija" on supply of replacement power

Serbian electric power trading company "Rudnap Group" announced today (September 23, 2009) that it had signed the contract worth 3.4m EUR with "Elektro Slovenija " (ELES) on supply of replacement power to that public company in 2010.

"Rudnap Group" was the most favorable bidder on the public tender with the price that was 2.5 times lower than the one in 2008, which produces exceptionally favorable economic effects, that is, multimillion savings for ELES and Slovenia.

It is stated in the announcement that the contract with ELES includes supply of electric power in possible cases of discontinuation of power supply or malfunctions on the grid of "Elektro Slovenija".

"Rudnap Group" will provide the replacement power for the needs of ELES from the system of public company "Electric Power Company of Croatian Community Herceg Bosna", of which power plants supply power to ELES for years, based on the contract for replacement energy.

People from "Rudnap Group" remind that the replacement energy ensures undisturbed work of the system in case of malfunction on production units that can cause discontinuation of power supply.

"Rudnap Group" is selected as the first-ranked bidder on the public tender announced by ELES.

"Rudnap Group" is already present in Slovenian market since it supplies industrial units "Lesonit" and "Salonit" with electric power in 2009.

The activities of the energy sector within "Rudnap Group" include trade in electric energy in the market of Serbia, as well as in the following markets of southeast Europe through its branch offices: Italy, Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, former Yugoslavia, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania and Greece.

According to the announcement, the company traded in few hundred million euros worth of electric energy in 2008.
