Banca Intesa granted 195m EUR worth of loans during first eight months of year 2009

Banca Intesa in Serbia announced today (September 22, 2009) that it had approved total of 195m EUR worth of loans in Serbia during the first eight months of year 2009, 120m EUR of which had been granted to entrepreneurs.
At the opening of the first branch office in Serbia that is organized according to the new standards of Intesa Sanpaolo Group, Dejan Tešić, a member of the bank's Executive Board, said that the bank had approved about 75m EUR worth of 32,000 loans to citizens and 10,000 loans to entrepreneurs in aforementioned period.
- Banca Intesa has also taken active part in the state subsidized crediting programme, and it has granted nearly half of all the loans approved by the entire banking sector - said he.
Tešić specified that the citizens had obtained 7,000 subsidized loans worth nearly 25m EUR, while the entrepreneurs had been granted 2,200 loans worth 37m EUR within the same project.
Banca Intesa in Serbia is a part of international banking group "Intesa Sanpaolo", with the headquarters in Milan.
