Buildings of former furniture producer Napredak from Pozega up for sale

The Bankruptcy Supervision Agency has advertised the sale of movable and immovable property of the once famous Pozega-based furniture manufacturer Napredak.

The offer includes immovable property within the factory complex in Knjaza Milosa Street, namely, the furniture showroom, the furniture manufacturing facility, warehouses, the boiler room, the compressor station, as well as equipment and small inventory. The value of this lot is RSD 139,293,266.

The value of the second lot, consisting of business space in Uzice with equipment stock – one wood, furniture and paper industry facility of 1,206 m2 – is priced RSD 34,327,390.

As eKapija has learned, the factory’s facilities are well preserved and functional, they don’t require additional investments and they have exploitation permits, and the facilities are ready to be put into operation.

At the previous contest, outlets in Smederevo and Kladovo were sold.

The deposit payment deadline is September 5, whereas the public bidding will be held on September 12 at noon, at the address of the Bankruptcy Supervision Agency.

Napredak has been in bankruptcy since 2017, when the factory closed despite the quality of its products.

As stated on the website of the Business Registers Agency, the company is currently in the process of enforced liquidation.
