Back to position of regional leader - "Jat Airways" submitted consolidation plan to Government

"Jat Airways" submitted the Draft measures for further operations yesterday (September 17, 2009) to the Government of Serbia. National airliner plans to return to the position of regional leader in air transportation business. People in "Jat" are of the opinion that they need to transport minimum 1.5m passengers per year in order to achieve positive results, and the existing fleet of 16 airplanes is big enough for that purpose, but under the condition that all airplanes are flyable.

People in "Jatu" estimate that there are three ways in which they can attract larger number of pasengers - better organization of transportation through adaptation of flying schedule to the needs of passengers and its harmonization with flying schedules of other airliners, enhancement of quality of services in all fields, as well as introduction of certain additional services that will make the flight easier for the passengers.

Greater presence in the regional market and membership in some alliance of air transportation companies are in the pipeline. Possible ways for cutting expenses are: separation of certain organizational units whose activities do not represent basic field of work, reorganization, greater financial discipline, which will enable introduction of ERP software, and other measures.
