Sugar plant in Sremska Mitrovica is seeking buyer again

Sremska Mitrovica-based sugar factory "Šećerana", which is in bankruptcy, may soon get the new owner.

People from the Court of Commerce in Sremska Mitrovica say that the Board of creditors in the bankruptcy procedure gave consent to the bankruptcy manager for sale of the sugar factory as a juristic person.

The estimated value is 10m EUR, and it will be the starting price on the tender. The bankruptcy procedure in in the sugar plant was started in 2008 when 265 workers were laid off.
