Business Incubator Center in Zaječar at the beginning of year 2010 - reconstruction of hall "Timočanka" in progress

At the beginning of year 2010, Zaječar will get a Business incubator center where about 15 entrepreneurs-starters will be able to use office space for free during the first year.

The Business incubator at 1,300 square meters will be situated in the hall of former textile factory "Timočanka". The owner of the future business center is the city of Zaječar, which will invest between 20,000 and 30,000 USD in reconstruction and equipping of that building, while the other investor is USAID, which will invest about 60,000 USD in that project.

Open competition for selection of contractor for the works on reconstruction of hall "Timočanka" is in progress.

- Once the reconstruction of the facility is finished, we will announce the open competition for tenants - entrepreneurs who are in different production and catering businesses. Our Business incubator center will comprise either companies in forming or those that already operate for one year, and they will be able to use their "incubator units" within the next four years – Dragan Tošić, the CEO of Business incubator center in Zaječar, told "eKapija".

He pointed out that the lease in the first year would be for free, 25% of the rent would be requested in the second year, 50% in the third year, while the companies would have to pay 75% of the rent in the fourth year.

According to Tošić's announcement, the hall will be divided into ten "incubator units" at 60-100 square meters.
