Swedish market to open for Serbian organic products

Serbian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Branislav Nedimovic held a preparatory meeting with Swedish Ambassador to Belgrade Jan Lundin on July 18, 2019, as part of the preparations for his visit to Sweden, during which he will meet with Swedish Minister for Rural Affairs Jennie Nilsson.

The meeting focused on organic production and the opening of the Swedish market for Serbian agricultural products. Sweden pays special attention to the questions of organic food production, sustainable development, ecological standards in agriculture and proper treatment and raising of animals and is financially capable of accepting high quality organic products.

– Organic production should be one of the pillars of Serbian agricultural production – minister Nedimovic said and emphasized that the added value of organic production was two to three times higher than the conventional value, the ministry says in a press release.
