The Petroleum Industry of Serbia's (NIS) laboratory in Oil refinery Pančevo is the first in the market of Serbia to introduce the laboratory information management system, also known as LIMS, of which advantage lies primarily in the fact that it enables high-precision control of quality of products.
The aim of this investment, as well as all other investments in NIS's six laboratories, is the achievement of European standards in the control of fuel quality in all segments of the supply chain, from manufacturer to end-user.
People in NIS say that fuel in this company is under strict control, in accordance with the regulations governing technical and other criteria for liquid petroleum fuels of petroleum origin. Fuel is examined in accredited laboratories of NIS, and it is additionally checked by an independent control company.
People in NIS explain that their laboratories are certified according to valid European and national standards, and that they are competent for testing quality of crude oil and oil derivatives. Analyses of fuel are performed on daily basis, so that about 20,000 tests per month are done in certain laboratories.
