Božidar Đelić arranged visit to Serbia for Oxford's scientists

Within the scope of the summer meeting of the World Economic Forum in Chinese city of Dalian, the Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia for European Integrations and the Minister of Science and Technological Development, Božidar Đelić, arranged the visit to Serbia today (September 10, 2009) for the Oxford scientists.
Đelić spoke to John Ryan, the Director of the Institute of Nanoscience for Medicine at Oxford University, about joint projects in field of application of nanotechnologies in medicine.
It is stated in the announcement that the Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia also took part in the discussion about economic future of Europe, and he met numerous scientists, including Bruce Alberts, the editor-in-chief of the world's leading magazine "Science", who was also the President of the US Academy of Science in two mandates.
Alberts praised the work of many Serbian scientists, especially the ones from the Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering in Belgrade.
The themes of the talks were the following: cooperation between SANU and the US Academy of Science, new Law on SANU, inclusion of scientists from Serbia in global academic panel of young scientists organized by the US Academy of Science, and presentation of Serbia's scientific development in magazine "Science" in 2010.
