New unit opened in Cable Factory Zaječar - 1.5 million USD

In the Zaječar Cable Factory, which was privatized by East Point in 2003, 1.5 million USD worth of line for consolidation of copper wire, the last link in the production chain, has been put into operation.

Before the privatization, the factory used to produce 4 tons of cables per worker, whereas now it produces 18. The plan is that European average of 30 tons per worker be reached in 2006.
