State to invest EUR 400 million in construction of 50,000 apartments for young couples

The announced investment cycle of EUR 10 billion should make Serbia the country with by far the biggest growth in the region, said Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. He announced that EUR 2 billion would be set aside for young people alone.

– We should prevent students from leaving the country to finish their studies abroad. It's not just enough to give them scholarships they get now, we also need to introduce new scholarships – Vucic told RTS.

Also, around EUR 400 million will be invested in the construction of 50,000 apartments for young married couple.

He added that he wanted to talk to young people in order to see what they want and noted that, while highways were important, investments need to be made in other things as well that the state could now afford.
