Creation of 300 new jobs in Leskovac

The Mayor of Leskovac, Slobodan Kocić, said that 300 new jobs in production units and one hypermarket in Leskovac would be created by the end of the year.

Kocić said at the meeting with the Director of USAID's MEGA Programme in Serbia, Peter Apstein, that the new jobs would be created in a hypermarket, in a new slaughterhouse of Leskovac's butcher MK, and in cold storage plant in village of Turekovac.

- There will be, at least, 300 new vacancies by the end of the year - said Mayor Kocić, who also expressed belief that he and his associates would manage to bring company "Ikea" to that city in 2010.

- We will do our best to bring "Ikea" to Leskovac since the company is searching for a location on "Corridor 10" - Kocić added.
