VESIC: Belgrade to procure 344 buses in a year

Deputy Mayor of Belgrade Goran Vesic has stated that 344 buses will be procured in a year, which will be the single biggest procurement at the public transport company.

Vesic said on TV Happy that the checking of air conditioning devices in public transport vehicles had been going on for two days and that he had ordered the competent organs to inspect the functioning of AC devices in vehicles every day.

He said that a private transporter had been penalized due to the lack of a functioning AC device and pointed out that private transporters need to provide WiFi, AC and clean vehicles and that their drivers need to wear uniforms.

Vesic said that the city's public transport service had 568 buses and that there had been penalties due to problems in those as well.
