Sweden helps Mining-Smelter Basin "Bor" to obtain loan

The Ambassador of Sweden to Serbia, Nils Krister Bringeus, and the delegation of representatives of companies from that country have visited Mining-Smelter Basin (RTB) "Bor" and talked with the management of the Bor-based company about future cooperation through approval of loan for procurement of mining equipment.
The Bor-based copper combine has been presented nine Swedish leading mining companies, and the Ambassador of Sweden said that he would plight for assistance of the Government of Sweden in allotment of the loan to RTB for procurement of the equipment to modernize mining business in Bor.
- Swedish Government is very interested in helping crediting of procurement of the equipment, and we have offered ecology as the key point for Serbia - said Bringeus.
According to his words, Sweden has the interest in being present in Serbia, as well as in RTB, with which some companies from that country cooperate for 30 years.
The Director General of RTB, Blagoje Spaskovski, said that the company planned to apply for the loan of over 40m USD for procurement of the equipment, and that the Government had assured him that the state would provide the guarantee for that loan. He added that concrete talks would start the next week, and that the new equipment would contribute to significantly more efficient work of Bor-based mines and metallurgy units.
