Serbian air transportation company "Jat Airways" announced on August 28th that the special inspection of the fleet had confirmed that the safety of airplanes and passengers had not been endangered at any moment.
Technical control did not discover any irregularities, except on the airplane with license plate "YUAON", which required replacement of screws and screwnuts.
According to JAT's announcement, the Safety Committee of "Jat Airways" analyzed all indices, including the results of the special inspection of whole fleet, and determined that the safety of passengers, crews and airplanes had not been endangered at any moment in the previous period.
It is said in the statement that was published after the meeting of the Committee that it was determined that the flying crew and expert services of "Jat Airways" had been acting in accordance with the stipulated procedures.
The Safety Management System of "Jat Airways" is said to have adequately and timely reacted on all events and incidents.
"Jat Airways" will ask "Jat tehnika", which became an independent company for maintenance of airplanes in 2005, for active access to definition and realization of corrective measures for flying safety.
It is also added that "Jat Airways" will be cooperating with the authorized government authorities, primarily with the Civil Aviation Directorate of Serbia.
"Jat" has the fleet that it manages to maintain successfully in spite of large costs. The safety procedures carried out by "Jat Airways" are at the world's highest level, which is proved by the fact that JAT owns all necessary international certificates.
Jat was the first out of 300 members of the International Air Transportation Association (IATA) to obtain IOSA safety certificate in 2005 since it met all strict international standards of IATA. "Jat" repeated the same result in 2006, and in 2008..
