Modernization of Torlak Institute prior to 2010– €25m, future regional leader in vaccine production

Production of flu vaccines in the INstitute for Immunology and Virology Torlak is underway. Torlak will provide necessary quantity of its own vaccine that is produced in cooperation with strategic partner Aventis Paster, the biggest manufacturer of vaccines in the world.

Realization of credit worth €2m, which was approved by EIB for reconstruction of unit for production of infantile paralysis vaccine, is underway. The strategic plan for development of Torlak Institute and the investment plan prior to 2010 anticipate investment of about €25m in modernization of the Institute. The aim of these activities is obtaining of SZO certificate, which would make it possible for Torlak to become leader in vaccine production in the region.
