Public company, “Nuclear objects of Serbia” has started with work – job opportunity for 150 people

The youngest public company, “Nuclear objects of Serbia” has officially started with work.

For now, the company only has C.E.O. and Management Board, and soon it should get about 150 employees. Most of the workers will come from “Vinca” Institute.

The employees will be responsible for nuclear safety, for protection from rays and for storage of various kinds of radioactive waste.

- We are waiting for the Government to approve the company’s statuary document, so we could write other acts and begin systematization of job places, explained mr Radojica Pesic, C.E.O. of the Public company, “Nuclear objects of Serbia”. – We will offer contracts for 120 people from “Vinca”, and they will decide if they want to transfer to the Public company. Besides them, we will also employ administration staff and other departments as well.

The project of nuclear decommission of “Vinca” will be transferred from the Institute to the new public company. There is in plan to transport used radioactive fuel to Russia and safe storage of some parts of a big reactor and other rayed waste.

Mr. Pesic announced that the new company would also take care of the rest of the scientific-technological programs of “Vinca”, as well as other projects of nuclear and radiation safety and security, and the RB reactor.
