Cooperation between Gornji Milanovac and Greek Edessa city – aid for distribution of EU fund money

Greek city of Edessa is offering aid to Gornji Milanovac in distribution of European Union fund money for development of local communities, as it has been announced from the office of Municipality’s President, Drazimir Marusic, who was recently in Greece.

Mr. Marusic made a decision to open an office in the Municipality’s management premises for this purpose, and the training work will be organized in Edessa.

Cooperation between Edessa and Gornji Milanovac was founded in 1992, and then interrupted in 2002, but now it has been renewed. A part of that cooperation is realization of the project in a newly opened bi-language department in “Takovski ustanak” High-school, which includes a study of a pilot subject “European culture and civilization” in English language.

From those reasons, a delegation of Municipality’s Council and Gornji Milanovac High-school were in a visit to Edessa during the last week, in order to determine the concept which will be soon submitted to the Resource Ministry for verification.
