Unsuccessful auction sale of immovable assets of Vranje based company, “Zamber”

In the Municipality court of Vranje, the first sale of immovable assets of Vranje based confection company, “Zamber”, which was scheduled for a debt settlement towards also Vranje based company, “Meteor”, has not succeeded, according the words by the Judge, Dragana Stankovic-Tasic from August, 26th, 2009.
In the statement given to Beta Agency, the Judge said that starting price for public auction was set to be 193,5 millions RSD, but the auction was not held as no one turned up and no one made court deposits.
“Zamber” company, which was active within the British “Alena” company, was supposed to give on sale its industrial object in construction process spread on 10.500 square meters, a transmission power station and a barrack.
The money from the auction, “Zamber” planned to use to pay its debt for construction works to “Meteor” company.
Confection company, “Zamber”, whose owner is a Cypress businessman, Jani Savas, has stopped with work in November, 2008, which resulted in 400 workers returning to their mother company, “Yumco”.
- After several months of process trials, at Serbian Chamber of Commerce, “Meteor” company won the arbitrage trade trial against “Zamber”. The decision was made which obliged “Zamber” to pay 1,3 mil EUR of unpaid debt for construction of a manufacture hall in Vranje to “Meteor” company, stated to BETA Agency, ”Meteor” lawayer, Mladen Vasic.
Mr. Vasic expressed his expectations that “Zamber” property would be sold on the second auction.
