Hypo Alpe Adria Bank in Serbia announced today (August, 26th, 2009) that in the first half of this year, it made a profit of 9,7 millions euros, which is for 3,2 millions euros less than in the same period of 2008.
As it stands in the announcement, the reduction of the profit is a consequence of economic crisis and difficult conditions in commerce, but also difficulty in collecting of financing sources.
Bank active, which includes overall bank’s funds, is increased from January to June 2009 for 8,83%, to 125 billion RSD.
In the first half of 2009, Hypo Alpe Adria Bank approved within the support program for commerce of the Government of Serbia, around 35 millions euros of credits with subvention rates, mostly for covering ongoing liquidity.
