Philip Zepter wants to take over three Croatian shipyards

Serbian businessman, Philip Zepter, is interested in purchase of three Croatian shipyards, as reports Croadian portal Dnevnik.hr.

As it is said, one of the richest Europeans, took over yesterday (August, 18th, 2009)tender documentation for "Brodotrogir", "Kraljevica" and "Split, shipyard for special objects yesterday, from the Privatization Fund.

- "Zepter" company has been preparing for two years for to enter the sector of ship construction. The plan is to maintain the manufacture in those shipyards. The workers already have experience, and we have the vision of success, said Blaz Buble, General Manager of "Propel" company, which took tender documentation in the name of Zepter.

Buble stated that there was already one ship of 50 m of longitude which was being built in "Kraljevica", and that there was another one of 75 m in preparation.

All of the 5 Croatian shipyards, which were put for sale by the Government, can be sold without obligation of the buyer to maintain the activity. However, Buble said that only "Brodotrogir" had the least chance to remain the shipyard.
