In June, 2009, 14,6% less construction licenses issued than in 2008

A total of 771 construction licenses were issued in Serbia, in June, of this year, which is for 14,6% less than in the same month of 2008, according to the data from the Republic Statistical Bureau.
If broken down by the type of construction, 84,1% of construction licenses were issued for buildings, out of which 76,2% is related to residential type and 23,8% are for non-residential type of buildings. Remaining 15,9% of licenses were issued for other types of constructions, out of which even 80,5% is related to pipelines, communication and electrical lines.
According to number of issued licenses in June, 1.309 apartments were reported to be built, which is for 26,8% less than in June of 2008. Average size of reported apartments for construction is 68,7 square meters. Most of construction activities are taken in Belgrade, if broken down on territorial averages, and it occupies 37,9% of planned value of newly built works. After Belgrade, the next biggest participation has Southern Backa County with 8%, then comes Srem County with 5,4%, then Southern Banat County with 5,3%, Raska County with 5%, while other territorial participations are between 0,2% and 3,8%.
Planned value of undertaken works in June is 81,6% of the entire planned work value.
