IMF's Mission in Serbia on August 24

The Mission of the International Monetary Fund will come to Serbia on August 24th to audit "stand by" arrangement for the second time - people from IMF told Beta agency yesterday (August 13, 2009).

During the stay in Serbia, which will end at the beginning of September, the representatives of IMF will speak to the officials of the Government of Serbia, the National Bank of Serbia, and the representatives of the private sector and academic circles.

As the people in IMF explained, the Mission will be led by Albert Jaeger who also led the Mission to Serbia in March when the agreement on credit arrangement with IMF was made.

The Board of Directors of IMF granted "stand by" arrangement worth 2.9 billion EUR to Serbia on May 15, 2009, and it will last until April 2011.

Serbia has, so far, withdrawn the first installment of about 788m EUR.
